Company Resource Guide

Brand News & History

Serta has been an innovative force in the realm of sleep products for over 90 years, striving to embody the motto “Dare to Dream Differently.” In addition to providing products for the homes of customers in 150 countries, Serta also provides mattresses to some of the world’s most popular hotel chains, like Wyndham and Hilton Worldwide.

Serta is a subsidiary of the American company Serta Simmons, which merged with the online retailer Tuft & Needle in 2018. Serta Simmons also owns and manages Beautyrest, and operates 36 manufacturing plants worldwide.

Serta currently offers five main types of mattresses with varying levels of traditional innersprings and different foam types. Each mattress is available in six sizes, except for the EZ Tote, which is available in five sizes. Customers can also customize Serta’s mattresses by choosing from options like extra foam layers and different cooling levels.

Serta is also known for its Counting Sheep ad campaign, which began in 2000 and caught on fast. These woolly celebrities are fixtures of the brand to this day, and the Serta site even lists their distinct personalities.

Current Collections

With the SertaLuxe starting at $319, the iComfort starting at $1,099, and three models in between, Serta has an option for every budget.

The Serta Luxe combines cooling properties, a custom support coil system, and four types of memory foam to create a next-level sleep experience. This mattress has moisture-wicking, antimicrobial, pressure-alleviating properties, as well as three types of foam and a base of supportive coils. At a plush 11.5 inches thick, the Serta Luxe comes in six sizes and features four choices of upgrades.

The iComfort comprises 10 inches of five kinds of memory foam, including two types of gel-infused memory foam, a contouring air support foam, an open-celled and a carbon fiber foam, as well as a choice of two types of cooling covers. It can be customized with a number of upgrades, depending on your cooling and pressure-relief needs. You can read SleepMoment’s review of the iComfort line here.

The iComfort Hybrid offers superior breathability, a supportive base of individually wrapped coils, and exceptional temperature regulation with a choice of additional cooling and pressure-relieving upgrades. This mattress is on the firmer end of the spectrum and is 12.5 inches thick. The iComfort Hybrid is crafted from four types and layers of memory foam and a base layer of coils. Sleepers can customize by adjusting the number of memory foam layers.

The Perfect Sleeper ensures fully restorative sleep with the promise of 40% better pressure relief than other competing memory foam mattresses. It achieves this goal through its unique combination of pressure-alleviating contouring foam, cooling foam, a supportive coil system, and a plant-derived, breathable cover. The 13-inch-thick Perfect Sleeper also includes bacteria-blocking technology HeiQ V-Block, which kills 99.9% of bacteria on contact. Available upgrades include additional layers of foam.

The EZ Tote is eight inches thick and made from layers of a cooling gel memory foam, an edge-to-edge foam core, and an additional foam support layer. It features cooling properties and is delivered in Serta’s smallest carton ever, making it super easy to unpack and set up, so you can unwind and lay down.
